Manaiakalani

Yesterday was manaiakalani the whole school went. To sylvya park to watch movies on the big screen until lunch time  we went back on the bus and ate our lunch and. Had a play it was a terrific day. 

Flounder

 Today I was going to watch some pt Englanders catch some flounder and the hole of pt England came to watch we sang some song then we said the karakia

My monster.

My monster has sharp teeth and sharp claws his name is Johnny cage . He could slay you in half with his

Claws . He eats raw fish and he eats rottin eggs and he eats soup and raw meet and raw chicken he doesn't Use. A fork he eats with his claws he is a death killer he is big and he is strong you don't wanna go by him or he will slay you in half and eat you for dinner with his claws 

 

Going to Harold

Last week room 24 went to Harolds place . It was interesting and we watched a video about Harold and his friends playing on the park. After that we talked about it . We have to be kind to be a good friend.

Museum trip

Last week team 2 went to the museum. First room 26 went to the lesson room. We got to eat then we put our bags in the cage. I ate a chicken avocado sandwich. We left the Kai room. Kohatu and I went up the elevator. I saw a t-Rex and I saw a lobster. I saw a buffalo, a whale, a bear and a sea dinosaur. 

After that we had a ta moko and I got a kiwi. The teachers taught us how to make a ipu then we wrapped the ipu up.

Finally it was time to go. So I put on my shoes and I went on the bus back to school.

I felt joyful because it was so interesting.

Me and my cousin Xavier we played on his PS3. Next we got bored so we played  modern warfare 4 . I got a rpg and a pistoles but it was only pretend on the game on Sunday at his house. After that we played outside we played hide and go seek I felt happy because I was never in.

Magical Matariki

What is Matariki?

Matariki is about the 7 stars in the dark night. It is also the name for the Maori New Year. The 7 stars appear in late May or early June. When they come out it is the start of the Maori New Year. We celebrate Matariki in lots of ways. The Maori people use the stars to find their way home. They didn’t have any maps or phones in the past. They plant crops. They fish for Kai moana and weave too.

My Holiday Highlight

The best highlight of my holiday was when me and my cousin and brother played black ops 3 at my house. First we went to laser tag then I played tenpin bowling I won 20 times nobody could beat me I was the best at it I knocked all of the pins 20 times my family lost we went to get something to eat I got burgerking and a Big Mac I had an amazing day because it was fun 

 

Snow White and the 7 dwarfs

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful Queen. She lived in a faraway castle. One day she wished for a baby girl called Snow White. Suddenly her mum passed away. The king re-married an evil Queen. The Evil Queen looked in the mirror and she said “Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?” The mirror said “you are”. After that she looked in the mirror and she said “Mirror mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all?” “Sorry dear Snow White is the fairest of them all”’ said the mirror. The Queen was furious. She got her huntsman and the Queen said “go and get my Snow White’s heart”. He could not kill her, he said to Snow White, “go far away and never come back”. Then she started to cry. The next day she found a cottage. When she got inside is was a mess so Snow White cleaned it. When the 7 dwarfs got back a beautiful girl called Snow White and they let her sleep. The next day the dwarfs went to work. An old lady knocked on Snow White’s door. She gave Snow White a poison apple.

Making Jelly

Yesterday miss Szymanik boiled the jug . Then Taoro poured the jelly crystals into the bowl and I stirred the jelly until it was dissolved. Miss Szymdhik put it in the fridge to set.  we did the same thing with the orange and green jelly.  The jelly tasted delicious.

   

Point England Picnic

Last Friday Point England School went to the Point England beach first we put on our hats next we walked to the hall and Mr Brut told to be responsible. After that we lined up. It was a long walk we all sat on the smooth green grass. Year 1 went for a swim then year 2 3 4 5 6 7 and 8. Lastly we walked back. We all said good afternoon to Miss Szymanik. I felt happy because it was cool.

Playing with My Friends

On Wednesday I went to the park with my friends. We played tag. After that we played hide and seek We played for 30 minutes. Lastly we played hide and seek tag. I felt happy.

Picking Up Rubbish

Room 24 picked up rubbish in the morning.

First we lined up then Miss Szymanik gave out 2 plastic bags to Cherish and Jordan.

We went around the school and picked up heaps of rubbish. It was disgusting.

After we washed our hands with soap and water.

We were responsible.
